Exhibition "Rare Arts Shared"
Seven artists present their passions and their works each afternoon.
- Jean-Claude Bogud, passionate about history and painting, hand-reproduces historical paintings by great masters, tracing the history of France. - Marie Biglione practices quilling, an ancient art of rolling thin strips of paper to create decorative patterns. - Brigitte Desalmant and Collette Thomas create bobbin lace, a traditional craft that has become a true art form. - Suzette Thabuis, an art framing specialist, enhances artworks while protecting them from light and the elements. - André Garçon practices rye straw marquetry, an ancestral art of assembling strands of straw to create refined designs. - Thierry Depoisier, a self-taught sculptor, creates metal sculptures, often from recycled materials. Opening: Saturday, April 25 at 5 p.m.
