Basket Club du Pays Rochois

The training we offer for the youngest players, especially in the smaller categories, is attracting more and more players and families. Once again this year, we have entered teams in all categories from U7 to Seniors, sometimes with several teams per level, and created a section for the U5s to enable the youngest players to play sport. Some of our teams play in the Départemental, one in the interdepartmental and 6 in the regional championship as part of the CTC ARVE BASKET. This Territorial Club Cooperation with the Cluses Scionzier Thyez Basket club enables us to pool the resources of our various structures, to offer an ambitious sports project to the youngsters of the 2 clubs. The club also trains young referees through a joint referee school with the Cluses club. Some fifteen youngsters are being trained this year, while refereeing matches in the smaller categories every weekend. A team of volunteers plays an active role in club life, organizing refreshment stands, crepes, snacks, etc. at matches and club events such as the Fondue evening. The Board, made up of some fifteen dynamic individuals, meets regularly throughout the year to organize meetings and events, and to plan the club's future. Anyone interested in joining the board or coaching the teams is welcome.
